    • Description
      • Bring home the force of imagination to their bedroom with the exclusively designed Star Wars AT-AT Walker bunk bed. The durable canvas cover is printed from a 1:15th scale art photo of the Star Wars imperial trooper's AT-AT transport vehicle, walking across the frozen landscape of Planet Hoth. The bunks themselves are constructed from durable heavy gauge steel, with access to the upper bunk through an opening in the top of the tent. Guardrails on the top bunk ensure your child's safety. Featuring removable top tent poles and a fabric cover, it's designed to convert to a standard twin over twin bunk bed, so the design can grow with your children.

    What's a Bunkie Board?

    What is a bunkie board?

A bunkie board is the foundation for a bunk bed or a captain's bed mattress. It serves the same function as a boxspring on a standard bed. It is a platform that fits within the bed frame to support the mattress. Most bunk beds and captain's beds require bunkie boards to support the mattress.

If the bunkie board is required for the bed then why is it an optional purchase?

The bunkie board is optional because some customers may already own one from a previous bed. It is not necessary to purchase a new bunkie board with every new bed.

What about sleigh beds, poster beds or other bed styles?

These bed styles do not generally require the use of a bunkie board. If you are planning to add a trundle bed or under the bed storage drawers, you will need a bunkie board instead of a boxspring.
