  • Description
    • Give your children an ultra-cool sleeping space that they can customize at will! Constructed of metal with a gray finish, the Build-a-Bunk full/full bunk bed adds an instant dash of industrial style with its clean, minimalist look. And this bunk is so much more than the typical bunk bed. It has a highly customizable, space-saving design that includes a basket, short bookshelf, long bookshelf, a tray, and even a basketball hoop in a bold blue finish. Each of these pieces is removable and can be adjusted on the left or right side of the bunk, depending on preference or room layout. You can use the bookshelves for books, trophies, or other trinkets. The basket is a great place to store games or homework close by, and the tray can easily accommodate workbooks or snacks. As for the basketball hoop, it combines form and function, creating an easy outlet for play.

    • Mattresses and foundations (if required) sold separately.
    • Bunk shown is twin over twin.
    • Bunkies suggested but not required.

What's a Bunkie Board?

What is a bunkie board?

A bunkie board is the foundation for a bunk bed or a captain's bed mattress. It serves the same function as a boxspring on a standard bed. It is a platform that fits within the bed frame to support the mattress. Most bunk beds and captain's beds require bunkie boards to support the mattress.

If the bunkie board is required for the bed then why is it an optional purchase?

The bunkie board is optional because some customers may already own one from a previous bed. It is not necessary to purchase a new bunkie board with every new bed.

What about sleigh beds, poster beds or other bed styles?

These bed styles do not generally require the use of a bunkie board. If you are planning to add a trundle bed or under the bed storage drawers, you will need a bunkie board instead of a boxspring.
